Spirulina & Chlorella
Short definition...
Spirulina: Ancient single-celled blue-green algae without hard cellulose.
Chlorella: Green algae with a hard cellulose wall.
The benefits of spirulina and chlorella
- 65-71% protein, a complete protein (contains all essential amino acids)
- Rich in vitamins B1, B2, B6, E and K
- Contains chlorophyll, iron, sulfur and minerals
- Rich in antioxidants
- Rich in essential fatty acid - gamma linolenic acid
- Supports the immune system
Spirulina is a rich source of protein and chlorella is excellent for systemic health.
All algae help the body with the elimination of heavy metals and support neurological functioning and mental clarity.
Plant proteins are highly assimilable compared to animal proteins, hence probably the faster effect on muscle mass.
A word from Jacynthe:
We find these benefits in Le Complet (formulated from the ingredients of my green juice with the addition of spirulina which contains a lot of plant proteins and chlorella, a chelator) which replaces it when I am away from my extractor.
