End the abuse

Today marks an important point for us, for me.
I want to put an end to all the abuses we have suffered over the past few years through our actions.

This summer, to my great surprise, I learned that we did not have to work with a chemist. I can tell you how astonished I was. After a few exchanges, the Order of Chemists wrote to me last week, stating that "they were not willing to meet with me," while the headline "Maison Jacynthe forced to hire a chemist" published in the press was all the more damaging to our company, and still is to this day.

Obviously, I now want to correct and clean up by taking action, by filing an application for an introductory action.

A formal notice will also be sent to various media outlets for disseminating false information, exaggerations and a clear lack of fairness.
Examples: a journalist sends only one page of my book, taken out of context, to scientists for comments presented on the entire book; a host takes up the latest headline from the Collège des médecins mentioning on the radio that it is again for our non-compliant products (when it was never a question of non-compliant products); a media broadcasts the news "Jacynthe René sued" when it is rather Maison Jacynthe who received a notice of violation that she contests for multiple reasons; I also question a media personality who has already promoted his new show by mentioning "I will destroy the Jacynthe René of this world" and who insinuated that I deserved prison referring to a mother from Calgary imprisoned for 3 years, to the point where not having slept a few nights nightmares about the possibility of being separated from my little ones...

Words have consequences and carry their share of responsibilities.

Let's be clear: I never mentioned being against sunscreen, I even suggest one!! I do not detox babies or suggest the use of rectal bulb syringes to relieve them (and the term detox that I use refers to a clean and cost-effective diet, not to diets or cures); and let it be said, I am not being sued.

It all becomes heavy and difficult to carry.

While on the one hand we are witnessing massive destruction, on the other we are experiencing avoidance: the less sensationalist media are staying away from me, probably given the allusions such as L'Actualité, which refers to a guru, or Le Protégez-vous, which has my image on its cover, warning against my speech, which is not supported by science.

I think that if I have been denounced and hammered like this, it is because my content is indeed out of the ordinary, not supported by advertisers or various lobbies. But it is clear that we are doing good. That if Maison Jacynthe is still alive, it is because our products are exceptional because they do not benefit from any endorsement or media praise, quite the contrary: everything depends on you, your experience with us and word of mouth.

So for me, this day, through our actions (essential because it doesn't seem like it's going to stop on its own), turns the page on months of difficult trials to make way, I hope, for the invested mother, the actress too and the woman of heart & business who spreads inspirations of a healthy lifestyle not to a sect but to sensible, educated & informed customers.

Never mind: we're now working with chemists, and I'm delighted about that. Both for our body care and for the new natural health products we offer, and the day before yesterday we received our first NPNs from Health Canada—what a sense of timing, you might ask? Obviously, everything is manufactured according to the rules of the art and filed as it should be.

And let us ask ourselves why all this is disturbing and why not rather fight against what is really harmful?
