Lipedema: What it is and what you can try to help

Lipoedème : c'est quoi et ce qu'on peut essayer pour aider
We asked Jean-Yves Dionne to explain what lipoedema is and what can be done to help.
Here is his answer:

What is lipoedema?

Abnormal fatty deposits, especially in the legs.

What can be done?

These deposits are more likely to be due to lymphatic congestion than to actual excess weight.

So, logically, anything that can help drain will, within certain limits, help improve the situation.

Cycling would be the ideal sport, but the effects will take time.

Our entire lymphatic drainage arsenal (essential oils, etc.), including the infrared sauna.

Although various sites mention that this isn't just ordinary excess weight, it's still excess fat. Therefore, a good weight loss strategy that isn't based on calorie counting should have a good impact.

In short: lymphatic drainers + moderate to intense physical activity (cycling, maybe mini trampoline) regularly (several times a week) + weight loss diet should logically produce results. But it will take a long time to see localized results.

Ultimately, thickening ankles can be considered a "growth hormone deficiency"... that too can be treated with the right tools. "

Please note that none of the formulas below are approved as natural health products with therapeutic claims; they are cosmetic formulas. However, they combine essential oils that have been shown to have an effect on circulation and lymph (see below *).

Here are some interesting formulas and products to try:

A word about Fibers:
Myth and Reality with Jean-Yves Dionne and Nathalie
Cellulite, can we melt the fat?
That's the question of the century! We've already talked about Pierre Fabre's studies on their caffeine cream. We can melt away dimples, but we don't solve the cellulite problem at that point. Cellulite is an accumulation. There's a hormonal component. If we want to work on cellulite, there are two interesting things: cycling and increasing dietary fiber . The dominant hormonal factor that's part of this, the best way, before thinking about anti-this and anti-that, is just the physiology of the body. The body takes hormones, uses them, they reach the liver, conjugates them, eliminates them in the bile and reabsorbs them. To reduce this, take fiber.
