What should you drink to support your skin's functions? We nourish it superbly with 100% plant-based and active serum (we should be able to eat our cosmetics), but how can we strengthen and help its regeneration internally?
- Carotenes are found in orange and green pigments and carotenes mean collagen (hence the appeal of the serum which contains 15 carotenes including the famous vitamin A called retinol): so I start the base of my smoothie with pieces of frozen mango, then freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice (I could also have added green)
- I add water to get the desired consistency
- I add camu camu powder, a fruit that provides an impressive amount of vitamin C (1 tsp provides 12X the recommended dietary intake of vitamin C); note on advertisements for cosmetics with vitamin C: apparently a whole container would barely provide the equivalent of a glass of orange juice (so in small doses, the intake is insignificant), we also question the stability of the vitamin in a cream (because it oxidizes easily)... it is better to take it internally; you can also favor a similar quantity of sea buckthorn berries (a shrub that you can also plant in your garden or on your balcony in a smart pot)
- We also want to take silica internally because it allows the elasticity of the skin, strengthens the internal walls of the veins, builds the bones and the appendages of the nails and hair; it also allows the assimilation of calcium and helps in the production of collagen, a champion therefore found in horsetail powder or even directly in Florasil capsules: I add a teaspoon!
- Proteins (I add 1 teaspoon of chia seeds and ground sprouted pumpkins) are necessary to build tissues (30% of our body is made of collagen), but they must be easily assimilated (I prefer plant sources in this regard :)
To soften the bitterness, I add a little maple syrup. For the recipe, click here!
You are well fed!
