Little tips and recipes for cleaning the house without poisoning yourself!!!
We find most of our raw materials in our pantry, and that's a good thing. Easy, economical, and practical!
So for proper execution of tasks, in the pantry I will always have...
-baking soda
-vinegar
- black or dish soap
-lemon
-essential oils (I like my purifying formula)!
I appreciate simple and effective practices, cleaning my house is an action that allows me to appreciate what I have and if it proves appropriate to review my layout and purify it by giving away the excess, never throw away, but circulate.
Personally, I use lemon and sweet orange essential oils in the water when washing floors with neutral soap, very pleasant clean scent (a few drops are enough)!
A few drops of tea tree oil in soapy water with neutral castile soap or with peppermint or citrus for counters and surfaces .
Stainless steel is cleaned with a mixture of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle (a recipe from the lady who helps me with my housework)!
The windows will be very clean and shiny with a solution of white vinegar and water.
I like to shine the edges of windows with a mixture of baking soda and lemon juice.
Baking soda is very effective for scrubbing sinks and all surfaces without scratching .
For washing , Sophie's recipe is wonderful, especially since you perfume it with your favorite essential oil .
I spray the sheets with lavender water and the blankets, I love this scent which attacks both dust mites.
I use my natural perfumes for all sorts of reasons, I spray the curtains, quilts & fabrics around me after washing (of course I wash too often), but I love it!!!
I leave some handmade soaps in my wardrobe and in the linen room , the towels and sheets smell nice and fresh.
Olfactory memory is very powerful, we live with our senses and happy memories amplify the search for comforting and reassuring smells.
What a joy to wash and make the whole house shine in a way that is safe for our health and the environment!
Then, we open the windows every day to change the air. When possible.
To finish in style, I place a bouquet of fresh flowers as a well-deserved reward
