For Maeva, 7, who left her mother Maud in mourning three months ago : she would like to send her a butterfly with the wish of seeing her again. Let's cherish our moments with our loved ones.
The beautiful story. Native American legend says that if a person wants a wish to come true, they must take a butterfly and whisper the wish into it before releasing it.
Since the butterfly cannot make a sound, it cannot reveal the wish to anyone except the Great Spirit who hears and sees all things.
In gratitude for granting the butterfly its freedom, the Great Spirit always grants the wish.
So, as the legend says, by making a wish and setting the butterfly free, the wish will be taken to the heavens and granted.
I want to thank François, better known as Monsieur Tomates. If you pass by the gardeners' market in La Prairie, he's at Johanne and Estel's counter. He's the most generous person I know (and a pro at organic tomato plants, selling hundreds and supplying the roofs of the most renowned hotels). François donated the butterflies yesterday for the children at our camp. If you know him, you'll understand why he deserves our salutes: he's always on hand and ready to help. Thank you. The foundation couldn't "buy" the butterflies (we're more of a fundraiser), so he did it in secret for the children. Thank you, François.
And parents, there are still a few places left at camp, week of August 17: the children come back calm, happy, fulfilled, they sleep well and can't wait to come back!
