With great emotion, 3 years of damage later, I share with you the press release from the Ordre des chimistes du Québec (that's days spent wishing and nights spent dreaming of light on the facts):
The Order of Chemists of Quebec and the company Maison Jacynthe wish to correct certain facts reported in the media:
- In the summer of 2018, following a report and in accordance with the Professional Code and the Act respecting professional chemists, the Ordre des chimistes du Québec conducted an investigation concerning the company Maison Jacynthe in order to determine whether the latter was illegally practicing chemistry;
- The Maison Jacynthe company has fully collaborated with the Order of Chemists of Quebec;
- The investigation conducted by the Order of Chemists of Quebec did not reveal any failure on the part of the company Maison Jacynthe in connection with the illegal practice of chemistry;
- Mr. Claude Chartrand, Director of Investigations and Criminal Prosecutions, fight against illegal practice and usurpation of title for the Order of Chemists of Quebec, never claimed the opposite or even specifically discussed the investigation concerning the company Maison Jacynthe, with the media ;
- The Maison Jacynthe company is surrounded by several chemists, members in good standing of the Ordre des chimistes du Québec ;
- Maison Jacynthe recognizes and respects the importance of the public protection role of the Ordre des chimistes du Québec.
Now, remember the articles in virtually every Quebec media outlet that denigrated Maison Jacynthe on this subject, and even today, headlines refer to it. This false story, which originated in the newspaper La Presse, has been reported since 2018.
I sincerely question the rigor of journalists and the motivations behind this relentless pursuit based on falsehoods - with supporting evidence. How can this be explained?
