The very very trendy
In California, taking care of one's body and being interested in eating well have been the "in" trend for a while now; educated young businesspeople have made it their way of life, just as in New York, people commute to work by bike in a preppy style. On the beaches of Miami, joggers exude youth, beauty, and fitness.
They rush to their fresh food markets where they stock up on kale, choose their whole grains, savor their invigorating "greens" or enjoy their vegan protein shakes. They've been eating alive for a long time.
The concept of fashion life is about physical well-being and a healthy lifestyle for young, trendy people.
We're finally feeling this picture here. The first vigorous sketches are taking shape and taking part in the market. Grocery stores and health restaurants are seeing their effects multiply tenfold at high speed! A couple of baby boomers are swapping conventional packaged foods to eat directly from local farms. Their eyes are shining as much as those of the athletic couple who contacted a hunter to buy his game for the year. A new way of choosing our food, of preserving, of thinking is emerging. An old reflex is returning to us because it feels good. We can't wait to rediscover our relationship with the earth, with food without leaving our jobs and our fashion side. On the contrary! And what's more, our ailments could run out of steam... Our well-being could be improved to such an extent that it would be reflected in our skin, our gaze, our gait...
Today, we flaunt our lifestyle more than our standard of living. We want to live well: it's a growing trend that's no longer reserved for just a few devotees. There's a real shift in the economy toward the modern-day well-being and health. And that's a good thing!
