When nothing is planned...

Quand rien n'est planifié...

When nothing is planned...

I have passions, ideas and I am determined to listen to them, to follow them, they bring me ever closer to my instinct which does not lie to me, which keeps me close to my truth. I rejoice in every "flash" that comes to me... although at the moment, I wish I didn't have them at night because I need to sleep and not get carried away!

I received a call from my city: "...yes, but where are you going with all this?" The right question! You see, nothing was planned! I simply love and follow the road that opens up before me. The sky is clement and fuels happiness, but believe me, the road has also, in the past, been very bumpy! But that is not the question, I will come back to it...

I also receive a proposal, that I submit my candidacy as businesswoman of the year...??? What? Well, if I am one, it is on the model of a woman of heart and instinct! And if this language can influence other women to follow their ideas; why not? I will tell them: "It is not about making five-year plans or having a complex vision of the company, a driving force to get up or exercises to repeat; it is enough, ladies, to take a step towards that little voice that speaks to you."

I've known Luc for 13 years now. I've been asking him all these years to bring his wonderful skincare products to market because I found them exceptional and because I thought it was unfair to be practically the only one benefiting from them! When he approached timidly, around 6 p.m., at the end of my book launch, he had a small bag containing the serum, rose water, and nursery fragrance. "You can offer them to your community." I mean, I wasn't expecting it anymore; I'd waited so long! Let's add that neither he, nor Jocelyne, nor my boyfriend, nor I knew at that moment where this little bag would lead us.

During the week, I thought about names to give, labels to design while Luc offered me a choice of bottles. We had a modest online store on Jmagazine (which had existed for 18 months then). We put the products there, then I told you about it, informing you about the dangers of cosmetics and especially the joy of natural products with the sole aim of sharing the benefits and well-being provided by my beauty rituals and this love of essential and vegetable oils.

The quality of Luc's care did the rest, by word of mouth. (Good thing, because I'm not a salesperson! I constantly tell our team that we're here to meet their needs and help them in any way we can to be better.)

Then you asked us to develop a range: we responded to your needs and here we are! A barn became a workshop which became a shop on Saturdays, a cupboard became a display stand. In the early days, I wrote the addresses by hand, because we prepared the packages as a family, happy, in our workshop. And slowly, we soon had to ask for help.

A year later, I had this idea (like the one for school, like the one for books, for Jmagazine, for the TV show, for the documentary...) to open a beauty salon especially because I wanted to receive care. Another barn was transformed and as if by magic, life placed me in front of a beautician who dreamed of working in a natural universe as intoxicating as the one created by Luc.

Six months later, the wait for an appointment can be long.

Yes, you could call it a business, but that's how it was created: with passion, heart, and authenticity, following instinct and out of a desire to share happiness, benefits, and meet needs. And that's how I continue, now with my lover and a great team (made up of jmagazine subscribers!). I don't look at the numbers, but rather at your enthusiasm, guided by your questions and hoping to live up to what you expect from me.

My joy? Having the chance to make a difference... Thousands of you have told me so, and every word I receive fills me with a sense of accomplishment that pushes me to continue, to offer you more ways to feel good. This is where I feel good and comfortable: reading these positive testimonials every day, because I am primarily here to offer effective alternatives that make a difference. Otherwise, it no longer makes sense!

Thank you because this company of happiness gives you the means to realize other dreams, always to better fulfill you (the next one will see the light of day on May 5!).

So I will answer the city this: I founded a school, then a huge garden to welcome schoolchildren, I made mistakes, wanting to apply the principles of Permaculture and learning them through experience. Jacynthe's care came into my life and found a place on this land where I welcome "clients" who appreciate living an experience. A beauty salon was added modestly, but we can no longer do without it! And this summer, I want a field of flowers, a self-contained greenhouse to grow seedlings that the children can plant in their corner not far away...

Businesswoman? No, rather a woman of heart, of instinct who realizes her crazy ideas...
