When I started my theater tour, Charles was 10 days old (I had accepted the role of Colette in Bousille et les Justes before becoming pregnant!). He accompanied me everywhere in the provinces for a year and a half, to my great joy. I know that it is not always possible for our child to follow us to our work, but often, creating a space for him and those of our colleagues can be achievable. We must not wait for others. Our ideas are made to be realized.
A company like many others offers on-site daycare for their employees. Meeting your child for lunch, knowing they're ready, and having access to them for a hug can be life-changing. A dentist friend recently created a space for her baby at her clinic simply by having a babysitter on-site.
Do you have any ideas, avenues, or stories to share that would help those who don't want to be separated from their children? Happiness multiplies.
