Jacynthe at the farm, the rooster

Jacynthe à la ferme, le coq

Jacynthe at the farm_The rooster.

Yesterday, a sweet Sunday morning, I put the baby to sleep in the rocking chair. There was a knock at the door: "Hello, we were walking in the forest and met a hen. Is it yours?"

"Is she brown? My brown hen is blind. She may have gotten lost. Would you be so kind as to pick her up for me? The baby is asleep, I can't go. Just put your hand on her back. She will "flatten out," pick her up just above her legs... ... "

A few moments later, it was done. I thanked the family with some small gifts.

At noon, my extended family arrives for a garden party. What a lovely surprise to hear the sound of "Cock-a-doodle-doo!!!"

Oh well! We inherited a rooster!! Blind hen had remained peacefully at home. Proud rooster to be named was probably abandoned in the forest like too many animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, we found).
Here he is! With 5 chicks that we discover are Germanic! They quickly showed him that he wasn't there to lead!
