Hammam

Hammam

Here I am in the Hammam. Private space (for two to four people).

Sylvain and I meet every week for two hours. Bliss. In the Hammam you have the dry sauna (pictured), a steam bath with a cold shower in the middle & two tubs to soak in the cold after the sauna. (Hey: we don't have to go into the cold!! Many people stick to the warm!) So I start with the steam, my heat rising from the room itself. Optional: I place essential oils in the space provided to breathe them in directly from the steam and wrap myself in them. When I'm hot, I cool down in the shower. The first few times, not for long, but the more I get used to my body, the more it wants to be in the cold (surprising to say on a day like today!), it's then euphoric and the feeling immediately after, then for hours, extraordinary. Bonus: the skin is toned. The relaxation is total. After the steam, I go to the dry sauna. My bath runs during this time. I quickly get very hot in the dry space, in 5-10 minutes. Then I put my feet, my legs in the bath. It's rare that I can do more. I return to the warmth. Then I can sit in the bath. And stay longer and longer. Sometimes, up to 7 minutes. And if I return to the warmth, it's to be able to return to the cold. In this exceptional... and lasting sensation. This frenzy in which my whole being participates. Indescribable but so addictive. I will take some invasive steam breaks (steam bath side) and then return to my exciting circuit. I will

Two hours go by quickly. We then want to relive it. At least once a week. This helps me understand the benefits—which are beyond me—of thermalism and how to tame our winter afterwards. It's not strange. I can rediscover a little, when I'm outside, that well-being so appreciated following my visits to our Hammam. My body associates the benefits with the cold. I won't be able to do without it anymore.

  • Kathya Cloutier: I highly recommend it! A wellness experience to treat yourself to and explore?
  • Julie Marchand: This week I had the chance and the happiness to live the incredible experience of the Hammam (private spa) at the MJ of Eastman. I went there for my birthday, we had rented a room in the house, the Royale for 2 nights and reserved the private Spa for 2 sessions (1 per day), in addition to discovering the excellent healthy meals offered on site. The shop is right in the house, which allowed us to browse quietly while asking all the questions we had about the products. The team of girls there is great! From Line to Coralie without forgetting Laura and Laurie, they are all welcoming, smiling and passionate. The Hammam experience allowed us to try different shampoos and shower gels while in the room we were able to try soap, room spray and others. What can I say about the steam baths and sauna…just Wow! Our favorite “the cold water bath” (ie iced). Everything was simply PERFECT!! I wish you to live the “total” experience of the Spa and the MJ of Eastman.

All houses have an infrared sauna (also in private mode, you can indulge in it alone or in pairs), you can book your time here . Different and just as wonderful.
