I wanted my son to keep the light in his eyes, to be a child before being an adult and to learn to know himself, to discover and explore his talents, to develop within a community where collaboration is valued rather than competition, to respect his pace, to follow his passions, his enthusiasm, thus building a solid confidence in himself and in adults and allowing him to cultivate tools to succeed in life. I trust him, I am with him at school so I know where he is. I don't need grades, exams, or homework to see that he is flourishing.
