Why cleanse your skin? Dead skin cells are important to protect your skin, but excess skin cells need to be removed to allow it to breathe. Help and support your skin's functions (just as we do with our health when we boost our immune system with fresh green juices!) to keep it beautiful and healthy!
First, and if you have time, boil the water, add a concentrate, an essential oil or flowers from the garden; stay over the steam bath for 5 to 15-20 minutes (with the towel over your head).
This bath also cleanses the respiratory system.
To prepare your mask, you can use clay! The important thing to cleanse without drying out is to adjust the potion, like a recipe: with water, a hydrosol, oils, depending on the function of your mask. Create it like you season a dish! The result is gentle.
Apply it with your fingers. Gently apply with light strokes (be kind to your skin, its elasticity has limits!) from the center outwards, from top to bottom to respect the lymphatic system and the movement to eliminate toxins. Leave the mask on for 5 to 10 minutes to 15-20 minutes (for impure skin). If we only have 5 minutes, then so be it!
Why a foot bath (with purifying sage essential oil)? We're in our heads a lot, and a foot bath helps the energy and circulation flow downward (like a juice you stir before drinking). It circulates better in the body!
If you are giving a foot bath to your partner or your children, a note on the fundamental touch: combine softness with firmness.
Important points to know about our skin's rhythm. In the morning, the skin is beautiful and rested. By mid-afternoon, or when you get home, it is tired and needs to be supported. This is the ideal time to offer it a natural, soothing, and nourishing treatment, because between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., the skin eliminates toxins and regenerates very quickly; you should not hinder this metabolic process with a heavy cream.
