How Rose, 9, Overcomes Her Anxiety Attacks

Comment Rose - 9 ans - surmonte ses crises d'anxiété
Last January, 9-year-old Rose began suffering from panic attacks. In a touching interview with her and her mother, Jacynthe M., Rose shares her tips for overcoming her attacks.
Here is the precious testimony they shared with us following this meeting. Jacynthe explains in detail how her daughter Rose regained control over her anxiety:
"Thank you for your kind words during this morning's live broadcast with Jacynthe and my beautiful Rose. Since many people have asked me how my daughter regained control over her anxiety, I'll tell you more about it here (with her permission).
First of all, I would like to thank Jacynthe for her generosity and her wonderful presence. My daughter wasn't sure she wanted to testify given her developmental language disorder, but Jacynthe was able to put her at ease. This is another great victory for my daughter!
Rose began suffering from panic attacks last January, a week before the return to in-person school. She was having several attacks a day, and they even woke her up at night. She quickly became fatigued. She had trouble going to school, could no longer keep up in class, take the bus, go to a friend's house, she had trouble eating, etc.
We started teaching her a breathing technique (cardiac coherence). We also worked on her thoughts using the book Incredible Me: Mastering Anxiety . Rose had already been meditating with me for 2 years, so she's very open to all of this.
At the same time, she exposed herself to what made her anxious to slowly get used to these situations and lower her anxiety level. She learned to recognize her first signs of anxiety. She names it very well herself, as soon as she recognizes one of them, she smells one of her MJ roll-ons , which calms her. She always has 4-5 perfumes with her. Her favorites: Rêverie and Pomme d'Api , but she also likes Black Patchouli , Chamomile Verbena and Caramel Fir . At bedtime, I massage her with the Macadam and Chamomile Massage Oil . She falls asleep with a roll-on in her hand, which she breathes in as needed at night. She has some in her school bag to breathe in on the bus, in her jackets, in her tray in class, etc.
Now she doesn't need her breathing technique so much anymore. She hasn't had attacks for several weeks. Some social situations are still anxiety-provoking, but she exposes herself/faces them successfully. She has more confidence in herself. She knows that with her MJ perfumes, she can control her anxiety before it becomes too much. It's a gift for the whole family. Rose now has more confidence in her abilities and she has even started helping her friends by teaching them her breathing technique and giving them some of her roll-ons." - Jacynthe M.
Jacynthe later shared with us that Rose now also falls asleep with the Rêverie synergy, lulled by the gentle music of our diffuser.
