As if I no longer have Crohn's disease

Comme si je n'avais plus la maladie de Crohn
Here's my story! If it can help someone in the same situation as me.

It all started at my 18th birthday party. From one day to the next, I was sick, I had excruciating stomach pains that made me double over, I was shaking like a leaf. Test after test to find out what I had, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in the small intestine. This resulted in hospitalization, a removal of 6 centimeters of the small intestine as well as an abscess 8 cm in diameter, because even with antibiotics, the abscess only grew and it became an emergency (very dangerous for my life). As a result of all this, I was advised to cut out fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds and anything made with whole grains. Basically, I had to pretty much just eat meat and grain products with as little fiber as possible. I had to combine this with medication and, despite everything, I had attacks regularly. Vomiting and stomach pain for hours, even days.

In December 2017, during a dinner at a restaurant, I decided to eat a salad, which was forbidden for me. I ate it with joy, almost crying, because I had been missing that good fresh taste for 7 years!! I started eating more and more vegetables and less and less meat. In any case, I had to force myself to follow my "diet" to the letter. I felt better. I still had attacks, but much less spaced out.
In January 2018, I watched a documentary about veganism. Doctors were saying that people with autoimmune diseases should eat a plant-based diet!
I immediately took the plunge and since then, I haven't had any attacks! It's crazy! I have much more energy, my blood tests look great! I don't even have inflammation in my intestines anymore! In fact, it feels like I'm back to how I was before all this.

PS: By cutting out dairy products, my partner saw his eczema, which he had had for 27 years, disappear completely in 4 days.

Thank you so much, Jacynthe! It was nice to see you again, and I'm glad I introduced you to my daughter.
