Disinfect naturally

Désinfecter au naturel

I was eating with Luc last night and we were reminiscing about our beginnings... To think that it all started with the purifying formula that I asked him for 12 years ago to disinfect objects and the house without poisoning us (pregnant with my first child, I had this call for natural products and this fear of contaminating him & disrupting his endocrine system).

The spectrum covered by this little disinfectant potion is so broad: it destroys a hundred bacteria , germs, microbes, fungi and molds: "disproportionately more effective than hand disinfectant lotions" Luc affirmed, telling me that Dr. Béliveau recently wrote an article on the harmful effects of triclosan (found in commercial antibacterial lotions) which contributes to the resistance of bacteria and promotes the development of liver cancer.

Noémie, my wonderful massage therapist, wanted me to share with you that she uses our purifying formula for her hands! One drop is enough to cover them... safely!

I asked for it to disinfect children's toys without worrying about them if they then handled them or put them in their mouths.

It's also my homemade cleaner (antibacterial and antifungal): a few drops in my spray bottle (with vinegar) for mirrors and windows, in my bucket of soapy water to wash the floors, to disinfect my surfaces... and in my toilet bowls! A few drops disinfect and release a wonderful fragrance in the bathrooms! Marco uses it in his "it smells clean!" diffuser. Indeed, like everything Luc prepares for us, the citrus scent is fresh and inviting and this formula is a good atmospheric antiseptic. We can also pour a few drops in our dishwashing sink and leave the dishcloths soaking in it to remove mold, spray it on bath towels for the same reason.

This formula, which sits by my sinks and in my bathrooms, represents the beginning of my story with Luc and the wonderful world of essential and vegetable oils. It only costs $17: "Luc, we have to put it on the market, it's so beneficial"... I had to wait 12 years!

For the proportions, I would say that 6-7 drops would be appropriate for 3 liters of water in a boiler. For a 4 liter, 12 drops. As you may know, essential oils float on water, so it is necessary to add a washing product that will make the essential oils soluble in water. You can therefore use dish soap (eco-friendly if possible).
