We clearly distinguish our vegan formulas, which contain no ingredients of animal origin. When we use active ingredients from the animal kingdom, they come from responsible channels or from the recovery of existing by-products, in a respectful and waste-free approach. None of our products are tested on animals.
Some essential active ingredients, such as certain forms of collagen or vitamin D, do not have plant equivalents that offer the same efficacy or bioavailability.
Scientific clarifications:
Since keratin is a structural protein specific to the animal kingdom, there is no plant equivalent offering the same structure or functional properties.
Similarly:
- vitamin D3 (derived from lanolin, among other things) has no plant equivalent offering comparable bioavailability
- omega-3 EPA and DHA are found primarily in the marine kingdom, with no direct plant equivalent in terms of efficacy
