Bra, friend or foe?

Soutien-gorge, ami ou ennemi?

Who hasn't already asked this question?

I'm sure that if I were to do a survey, asking you this other question: "What do you do when you get home in the evening, as soon as the door opens?" With a large percentage, many would answer me without hesitation... we get rid of the bra, followed closely by shoes, rings and earrings, right? I have this very distant memory and acquired tendency dating back to my very first 9 to 5 office job! Always repeating to myself this remark: "For what purpose was it invented, given that we strongly feel the need to get rid of it so quickly and regularly?"

Yes, we will say, for an appeal of elegance, of femininity, to display a beautiful curve, and this, going from the most practical to the most chic, but at what price, I am not talking about money, but particularly from the point of view of health.

What should we think? What if it actually harms us! I recently read that bras hinder lymphatic circulation. A fan of the health cleansing that Jacynthe suggested to us, I am therefore encouraged to eliminate toxins to have clean lymph and healthy cells... Is the bra therefore harming my cleansing?

The article mentioned that because of the underwires, elastics, cups and straps, there is compression at the level of the lymph nodes and channels, then, at that moment, the lymph becomes stagnant, the toxins are no longer eliminated naturally, they therefore accumulate in the breast. The compression significantly increases their temperature and promotes, if necessary, congestion... pain. Voluntary torture? That makes you think seriously!

It was added that the bra makes the breasts muscularly lazy and promotes their sagging. So what? We've been taught the exact opposite! It's perfectly logical to think that muscles and ligaments, trapped in this way, can't work, when their role, each one, is precisely to strengthen and firm everything, thereby improving the quality of the skin, while straightening the posture of the back to a more natural position. So what do we do? Do we abandon it completely?

According to a study 1 on this topic, 42% of those tested initially experienced discomfort without a bra. Three months later, there was no more discomfort. Three years later, no subjects felt any pain, and none were bothered by the absence of a bra during their daily activities, including most sports.

Okay, but what if we deliberately choose to wear it full-time? So, keep in mind that if we choose to wear one, we absolutely must opt for a non-compressive cup and the right size so that we can loosen it at the end of the day. A custom-made bra is definitely a "must" for comfort.

And what about the part-time option? Take short breaks to let everything breathe and circulate, because the natural movement of the free breast while walking normally creates a massage that circulates the lymph. Why not!

I draw my own conclusion: friend to send on vacation from time to time to optimize the good circulation of the lymph (we swap for wearing a beautiful, very comfortable camisole) YES, friend, for special occasions!

And you, what is yours?
