Eczema

"My name is Melanie. I am an MJ product addict. I have been religiously using MJ beauty products, vitamins, foods, and makeup for almost 2 years now. Here is an evolution of my skin since then. My skin is fuller now at 45 than when I was 30... Wonderful! I started for 1 year with chamomile floral water and jojoba oil only. Now I can afford orange floral water and cleansing oil twice. Aloe gel and neutral serum in winter. Sacred Lotus and hemp and vetiver serum right now."

Products used:

My essentials for a basic ritual (since 2019):

(When irritation, dryness, cracking, eczema flare-up is present)

  • Chamomile Floral Water (soothing for my skin)
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Calendula Muslin (in case I need to maintain hydration)

My winter beauty ritual (since fall 2020):

Due to the change in temperature and the heating of the house, my skin feels tighter, so I allow myself this:

  • Chamomile Floral Water
  • Cleansing Oil in the evening, Jojoba Oil in the morning
  • Neutral Serum only at night, especially if I wear the mask all day at work

My summer beauty ritual (new since spring 2021):

  • Orange Floral Water
  • Cleansing Oil or Jojoba Oil
  • Hemp and Vetiver Serum (calms my redness, regenerates my skin and gives me well-being and a feeling of lightness)

Cystic acne

Her poignant testimony received in 2020, inspiring! How Dominique, after 20 years, overcame her cystic acne.

"Hello, potted happiness merchants! My name is Dominique, I'm 40 years old. Since I was 20, I've been battling (and that's saying something) my cystic acne problem on my face. This acne has really taken up a lot of space in my life, it's even changed my life choices... I've been working as an actress for 23 years in an institutional environment, but it was teaching that interested me a priori. However, I couldn't bring myself to assume to appear in front of a group of students with a huge pimple on my chin. I felt like all my credibility was going out the window when a dubious enemy appeared on the horizon. When I say huge, it's because cystic pimples can be 2-3 cm in diameter, and what hides under the skin, even bigger and oh! How painful. My chin was constantly "inflamed". I could only think about it constantly. I didn't even show up at the university for my graduation ceremony to receive my Master's degree...too ashamed of my face and not confident enough to see everything I had just accomplished during my studies. I then had opportunities to speak about my thesis at conferences across Quebec. Offers that I always declined, because my face wasn't worth it. My acne was once again holding back my enthusiasm and aspirations. What I felt inside was too heavy to overcome. I had the feeling that people only saw that of me, I was the girl with huge pimples. We often think that children can be mean, but I received mockery from adults which distressed me even more. I didn't want anyone to talk to me about my skin anymore. With my boyfriend, my family, my friends, everyone knew that it was a sensitive subject to avoid. I felt like no one understood me. I was often on the verge of despair. Looking at myself in the mirror had long been a daily avoidance. Photos of myself? As few as possible and at the right angle please. Scarves around my neck to bury my chin in and the ultimate deliverance, wearing the mask recommended by the government! I was finally going to be able to hide at work! I had reached the end of my resources. Minocycline (antibiotic), birth control pills of all kinds, Accutane 3 times, creams and creams, different diets, thousands of dollars of products...and always the same recurring problem... the one and only time my skin was beautiful was during my two pregnancies... did I have to be pregnant for the rest of my life to feel pretty!! Lol »

Adult acne

“I have been using Maison Jacynthe skincare and makeup products for a year or more. I had a lot of adult and hormonal acne. In fact, since I was 16 I have always had spots and for the first time in my life, at 35 I am spot-free. I would just like to share a before and after photo with you. I would also like to mention that I followed the advice to stop all dairy products, I am almost vegan. – Mel”

"I have an 18-year-old daughter who had a major acne problem for 6 months. She tried several products in an attempt to cure it. None of them worked. So I gave her my rose trio to try, and we noticed a difference the next day and an almost complete cure in less than a week. I wanted to share this with you. Your products are beyond excellent."

Products used: Rose Trio

  • The cleansing oil cleanses, removes makeup, purifies.
  • Rose floral water is toning, slightly astringent, firming, moisturizing and anti-wrinkle.
  • Rose Serum helps protect, defend and regenerate your skin.

“I've been using MJ products for a month now! I'm really happy with the results so far! I've tried everything on the market to help clear up my adult acne. I was very self-conscious about my skin. Little by little, I'm able to wear less makeup. My skin is healthier, its texture is greatly improved, and I have fewer spots!”

“It’s really hard for my pride to show you photos of the state of my skin before! Such a big complex for me. But if it can help someone! From adulthood, I started to get acne here and there. I also had dilated pores and very textured skin, in addition to the acne marks. During confinement, my skin deteriorated even more... it was hell! For years, I tested ALL the products in the pharmacy. They never worked and I was always looking for the miracle solution. I spent a lot of money on these products! Then, a month ago, I turned to Maison Jacynthe products. In addition to bringing me to an indescribable state of well-being, my skin has literally transformed! Although it is not perfect, the texture is smoother, it is healthier and I have less acne! »- Audrey

Acne...

“I wanted to take the time to share with you the results I got using Maison Jacynthe products. I suffer from a lot of acne. I read a lot about your products and I made the leap 7 days ago. I got the set to soothe the sebaceous glands as well as the rose water, with the advice of the person who was there at the Ste-Thérèse store. I am absolutely won over! My skin thanks me! I am definitely thinking about getting other products and continuing my routine to see even more results. Thank you.” - Cynthia

Another testimony , read how MP reversed his acne:

"I had a lot of acne (Accutane appointment next week) and I have nothing left in two weeks with Marie-Ève's routine + taking zinc. To my routine that I have been doing for 2 years, I added Marie-Ève's ideas: clary sage, sebum gel + hydrogel + tamanu oil and internal zinc, everything went away in two weeks, it's crazy! So, My routine:
1- Jojoba cleaning
2- Chamomile water
3- Sebum gel + hydrogel + two drops of clary sage
4- Tamanu oil
5- Dermopur acne, as needed and Soothing formula!
Chocolate mask 2-3 times a week. Exfopur as a mask to avoid overstimulation and Exfopro every two weeks. I've been taking zinc in the morning for two weeks! So I'm postponing my dermatologist appointment!

Rosacea...

“Hello Jacynthe, I'm writing this note to tell you that I've used the cardamom mask several times and it's sublime. My complexion is clearer after this one and what can I say about the smell. I have rosacea and my redness is calming down. Then, I tried the caramel fir balm with vegetable glycerin. I work in the health field. My hands are beautiful, beautiful, beautiful after 2-3 days of use. Thank you for sharing your passion with us.” - Marie-Pier

Other testimonials:

From MJ Eastman: A customer who no longer has rosacea and referred her friend: "Good morning, the products used are jojoba soothing gel and chamomile water." The customer tried it in store, on her face, herself, before purchasing and she was amazed, she felt no "burning" sensation on her cheeks. A relief, she said.

"For my redness on my cheeks that burn, the 2nd cleansing with the chocolate mousseline made all the difference. Instead of a rather red complexion, I now see my true skin color. My complexion is much more even (I use the orange or pink floral water, depending on the moment, and I take a good amount of the chocolate mousseline and gently massage my skin for a few minutes and I put more floral water on, then I rinse very gently with a washcloth and finish with the Sublimator or lotus and I apply pink serum during the day and in the evening I am more generous in quantity, I apply pink which I massage in and then neutral serum which I also massage gently so as not to make my cheeks red)" - Mireille L.

"I developed rosacea after a psychological shock. I was taking Metronidazole for years. Since I met you, I was able to stop this treatment and replace it with jojoba oil, aloe vera gel and floral water. What a joy. A huge thank you." - Christel C

Here is what Jean-Yves Dionne shares with us on these subjects.

Rosacea…

To learn more, see the article by Jean-Yves Dionne and the related references here :

In a nutshell: According to studies, several factors contribute to the development of rosacea. Links have been established with intestinal conditions, microorganisms, and the immune status of the skin.

To limit rosacea flare-ups, the most interesting dietary recommendations are therefore the following:

· Eliminate the aggravators that make you react (trial/error).

· Reduce the glycemic load of your diet (avoid sugary foods and significantly reduce starchy foods).

· Consume foods rich in omega 3, which appears to provide some protection.

· An alkalizing diet, therefore richer in vegetables and fruits, should also, logically, improve the condition of the skin by reducing inflammation.

· A diet that promotes good intestinal transit (rich in fiber, prebiotics and probiotics) improves intestinal health and therefore, probably, that of the skin.

· Some researchers therefore suggest using vitamin D3, or even optimizing blood levels (75-150 nmol/L), to control the expression of these molecules and restore their ability to reduce inflammation and pathogen colonies.

57:04 – Rosacea is primarily inflammation. Diet plays a major role. Diet alone will lead to improvement.

Eczema…

To learn more, read Jean-Yves Dionne's article and the related references here!:

In a few lines, a short summary:

· Eczema can be a symptom of FOOD ALLERGY or INTOLERANCES. Allergy is a hypersensitivity reaction involving an immunological mechanism, whereas digestive intolerance is a non-immunological hypersensitivity reaction.

· Stress can also cause eczema.

42:39 – Why eczema? A symptom that appears on the skin. E.g., a mother and a breastfed child. Link with diet and the gut. Stress is an aggravating factor. Explanation of leaky gut. Procedures. Omega-3.

Acne…

From live : Live with Jean-Yves Dionne – March 4, 2021

01:07:48 – Link between different foods and acne (skin diabetes). Whey. Eat protein, not just any protein and not just any protein. Acne: sugary foods, chocolate, cocoa powder, for some. Dairy products, not just any protein. It depends on the individual. Cut out carbohydrates.
