Caroline's Gallbladder

La vésicule biliaire de Caroline

I was diagnosed with liver stones in 2011. I had been very, very sick for 8 months without knowing what I had. So, the solution with the doctor was of course to remove my gallbladder. We have a problem, we don't treat the cause, we bandage the "boo-boo". In short, I told myself that since I was born with my gallbladder, it was surely important... and that I would do everything in my power to help myself keep it and regain my health.

So I contacted my naturopath as well as my osteopath. And the treatments began, every 2 weeks with the osteopath and excellent follow-up with the naturopath. On a "sick" liver, you can't go too hard. Because when the bile is too thick, what happens is the formation of crystals, therefore stones... which then cause horrendous pain. At these times, one thing that you really have to avoid is anything that helps detoxify, because when you have liver stones, as soon as the bile is too activated, the stones stir, cause pain, and sometimes decide to pass and can even end up in the pancreas: pancreatitis and emergency surgery. In short, I had to avoid dandelion, green juices, take only lemon juice and hot water, but without combined olive oil, milk thistle in very small doses, etc. I SUCCEEDED!!! I got out of it, 6 months later, at the ultrasound, no more stones... and no operation! But hey, to say that each individual is different, we all sometimes have health causes that we must take into account before undertaking anything.

So, the doctors would have given me an OPERATION as an alternative and I would no longer have my GALLBLADDER. But I would not have solved my problem of crystallizing bile... and I would have continued, possibly, to have problems. (and temporarily, green juices, indeed, were not ideal :).
