Vitamin C

For allergies: Vitamin C, in the natural form of ascorbic acid, will accelerate the breakdown of histamine, which will shorten the time it takes for symptoms to appear. At a dose of 1000 mg, you could take it up to three times a day, depending on your intestinal sensitivity, because a dose between 1500 mg and 3000 mg can cause gas and accelerate bowel emptying. This slight discomfort disappears by reducing the dose.
