My secret to vitality

Mon secret de vitalité

(3 years later, our son still helps me stretch!)

Do you have a morning ritual? Do you take the time to wake up and appreciate yourself?

Several years ago, a breathing workshop forever transformed my daily vitality and gave me a deep sense of gratitude. I learned how to draw energy and, above all, to give myself breaks to do good. So, every morning and even the afternoons that followed, I took the time to do my routines. The results were quick to be felt: I quickly found myself with an incredible "feeling" and a surprising and joyful "non-fatigue"!

A move later and I easily bounce back into my life at the speed of "I forget myself": multiple preparations follow my getting out of bed, destroying the time that was once so precious that I allowed myself. On the other hand, I keep coming back to it, in my thoughts: the level of well-being that I had, to those sweet and hushed moments in the morning, even before the sun came out where, with a peaceful smile and a tender eye on my child who was still sleeping, I did my stretches that would change my happiness and my energy for my day.

I had to find myself one Sunday in a breathing class, years and a child later, to reconnect with the "Tibetans" who did me so much good. Since then, I have sworn for life, for my greatest pleasure, to never let go.

I'm not a die-hard yoga fan. I can't do the yogi poses. I just like to stretch. After attending a few classes and recording poses that feel amazing, I reproduce them at home, without rigidity but breathing deeply, my only essential. And if I talk about it, it's because I believe that everyone can do it, regardless of their level, their age, ... ...

Tibetans, among others

A friend said to me one day while I was filming: "Do you know the Tibetans?" I love it when I'm launched onto a new path to happiness. A revealing navigation further and I try this routine of simple exercises that have extraordinary impact. A secret revealed in the last century from the remote monasteries of the Himalayas... Thank you!

I start doing it as soon as I wake up, on an empty stomach. Since I have children, I get up 15 minutes (it doesn't take more) before them, for me. I assure you that practicing this series of five positions daily increases our vital energy.

For visualization: this ritual would restore the balance of our seven energy centers to allow our cells to behave as they did when they were young. Certainly, the well-being that results is undisputed, as is the feeling of regained youthful energy! I accompany this massage (this is how I experience it) with candles (how I love their most sensual glow when the darkness is still present) and hot water poured over the juice of a lemon.

I'm finishing my Tibetan series and adding a few poses I can't live without: detoxifying twists, a spinal unroll, and what my golden osteopath showed me to avoid back problems. Then I can go and awaken my treasures, ready for happiness, theirs, mine. To extend my routine beautifully, I stick to fruit for a long time.

It's amazing how much clearer my mind is (my boyfriend also thanks me for my frugal potions that give us unfailing vivacity!). To feel nourished, bananas are ideal, but having lived in Ivory Coast, and having eaten so many breakfasts, their texture no longer suits me. I enjoy it simply in a shake with almond milk, freshly grated nutmeg and cinnamon, our banana chai! Obviously, there are as many morning rituals as there are people on earth! Taking a moment for ourselves changes everything. I asked my friends how they experience their morning (to be seen soon in the Morning Ritual section) and I can't wait to know the ways you use to recharge your batteries. Please share what makes you feel good!

In photos, here is mine that makes me love every morning that life gives me. It is a set of positions to be done one after the other, starting with eight repetitions each (we could go up to 21, I stay at 8, except for the one that works the abs which, by golly, can become sexy again!).

This involves turning around for the first (clockwise), then lifting your legs and head as shown and returning to the floor for the second and you have the beginnings and ends of the next three positions.

Relax, have fun, and make sure you extend your breath to your extremities and exhale to expel the bad breath. Enjoy your workout!
