Caramelized Garlic Tofu

Tofu à l'ail caramélisé

Delicious as a garnish on salad or served as is, with an aperitif!

Here's how to make this simple and tasty recipe:

(for proportions, refer to the video)

  • Cut the garlic tofu into small cubes.*
  • Brown the cubes in a pan until lightly browned.
  • Add a little balsamic vinegar while mixing, just enough to coat the cubes.
  • Reduce the heat and add a little maple syrup, enough to caramelize the cubes.
  • Heat, stirring constantly, until the liquid has evaporated.
  • Let cool for about thirty minutes in the refrigerator and serve.

* If using unflavored tofu, simply add a little garlic at the end of cooking.
