The wonderful thing about MJ products is that you can make them in advance and even for 2 days, if you want. This allows me to be more efficient in terms of time and always have some on hand when I get hungry. No problem, the taste and effectiveness remain. Wow!
For all my recipes, I've provided precise measurements to guide you on the quantity, but you can adjust according to your taste. Plus, there's no need to worry about getting out our measuring spoons every time! After making them 2 or 3 times, you'll be able to easily do it by eye with your regular spoons!
My essential Fountain of Youth
My Fountain of Youth is a must-have for me, because not only does it stabilize my satiety, but it also completely stopped the osteoarthritis pain I had in my hands. I couldn't believe it!
In fact, what I find quite extraordinary is that MJ collagen, in just 3 days, stopped my osteoarthritis pain that I had had for about 10 to 12 months, while the collagen from other natural brands that I was taking before knowing Maison Jacynthe had had no effect on the osteoarthritis that I had in my hands! This MJ collagen is amazing!
Generally, I drink my Fountain of Youth in two parts, half at lunch and half at dinner, and at the same time I take my supplements (Omega, Health Support, Magnesium, etc.)
I like to take my Fountain of Youth very cold.
Here is my recipe
In the MJ shaker, I put 3 or 4 ice cubes to which I add cold water up to about the 400 ml line.
Then I add:
- 1 tbsp. of Wholemeal
- 1 tbsp MCT oil
- 2 large tbsp. citrus marine collagen, which contains hyaluronic acid
So far, nothing new! It's the traditional Fountain of Youth MJ recipe... but I'm also adding:
- 1/4 tsp organic turmeric powder (purchased at a health food store) for its anti-inflammatory properties (references: Passeportsante.net and Dr. Richard Béliveau's books on anti-cancer nutrition and foods)
- 1/2 tbsp. Moringa leaf powder MJ. I add Moringa because this plant, rich in vitamins and minerals, helps me with digestion and cognitive health. You can read about all the benefits of this plant, with its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, which also helps support brain function in Passeportsanté.
And if I want to make a change, I add:
- 4 to 5 drops of MJ Sweet Orange essential oil (you can add a little less or a little more, depending on your taste). I only add these drops for taste, because I don't like the taste of watercress found in the Complete. This way, my fountain of youth has a little orange flavor while retaining all its benefits.
- Or 1 tsp (or tbsp, depending on the taste I want) of Camu camu for the taste, but also the vitamin C content found there.
My delicious drinking serum
At first, I took the Drinking Serum for all its antioxidants which allow me to fight against the aging of my skin and protect our cells against free radicals... but what a joy to see that by drinking it daily, I no longer have any seasonal allergies, I who had many for several years!
For me, it's my little magic powder and it's so delicious!
Every morning, I fill a water bottle with very cold water to which I add:
- A little less than 2 tbsp of drinking serum
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. teaspoon of Camu camu
- And a scoop of Creatine (the scoop is in the Creatine bottle)
For my part, I sip this delicious blend throughout the day.
And sometimes to accompany friends who are having a glass of wine, as I almost never drink alcohol, I drink my Drinking Serum in a wine glass!
The amazing and satisfying MJ Protein Shake!
If, like me, you have tried a multitude of protein shakes in your life, you will have noticed that they have nothing to do with those from Maison Jacynthe!
MJ Plant Protein is second to none when it comes to nutrients, taste, and quality. I love all the flavors! I've never tasted shakes this good, even if you just add water. But of course, I prefer to make them into gourmet recipes!
For me, MJ Proteins fill me up and also curb my sugar cravings. I'm a natural sugar freak!
What's fantastic about the 3 MJ Proteins is that I was able to create a host of shake and smoothie recipes.
Here are my favorites!
Orange Julep Shake
- Almond plant milk
- 2 scoops of Vanilla Protein
- 4 drops of MJ sweet orange essential oil
- 1/4 orange juice MJ
You can also make this recipe without adding orange juice, as the sweet orange essential oil provides sufficient flavor.
Banana Split Shake
- Vegetable milk
- 1 scoop of Vanilla Protein
- 1 scoop of Chocolate Protein (or Berry Protein, if you want it to taste more like strawberry than chocolate)
- 1 scoop of cocoa from MJ's grocery store. By the way, I've never tasted cocoa as delicious and indulgent as the one sold at MJ's. It's definitely worth the trip; it's incomparable!
- 1/4 banana. You don't need more, because otherwise the banana will overpower the flavor.
- A cup of strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup pineapple (fresh or frozen)
Blend everything together. Be careful! If, like me, you have a Vitamix blender that heats the liquid at very high speed; blend at low or medium speed to keep the shake cold. Also, fresh pineapple heated in the Vitamix doesn't taste very good, I find!
Pina Colada Shake
- Coconut plant milk
- Optional: A little coconut cream if you like the taste of coconut, but no more than 1 tbsp, as it is very rich and fatty.
- 2 scoops of Vanilla Protein
- 1 cup pineapple (Same Vitamix blender caution as in the "Banana Split" recipe)
Shake "After Eight"
- Vegetable milk
- 2 scoops of Chocolate Protein
- 1 drop of MJ Peppermint essential oil. If you find that one drop is too much to taste, drop a drop onto a spoon, dip a toothpick into the drop, and then dip the toothpick into your shake mix.
And my favorite, Vanilla, cocoa and argan oil shake
- Vegetable milk (I prefer coconut)
- 2 scoops of Vanilla Protein
- 1 scoop of cocoa from MJ grocery store
- 1 tbsp argan oil from MJ Grocery
This mixture is for me a perfect gourmet “dessert”, and it fulfills my taste for sweet dessert that I do not have, or only on rare occasions.
All of these recipes, and many more, can be made into smoothies. Simply add a small amount of liquid (in this case, plant-based milk) to your blend until you reach the desired consistency.
Have fun creating your own recipes! The only limit is your imagination and your taste!
