Sun, shea butter and after-sun!

Soleil, karité et après-soleil!

We do the ritual (cleanse, spray the floral water and apply the serum) then we add the shea-vanilla with zinc before going for a walk or gardening outside (and we spray the natural deodorant, a marvel!).

For my protection: melt in a bain-marie, remove from heat, add the zinc oxide powder, mix, put in the freezer until the shea butter sets (1 hour). That's it! (Note: after that you don't need to keep the shea butter in the freezer, but at room temperature).

Here we are with effective sun protection from the moment it is applied AND good for the skin! Shea butter is emollient and as it forms a lipid film that remains on the surface of the skin , it prevents dehydration. Also, the carotenes in sea buckthorn oil (contained in our shea butter) allow our skin to absorb UVA and UVB rays for longer without burning! A real skin care product with beautiful properties including protection.

There is an increasing connection being made between the possible dangers of certain ingredients in commercial sunscreens: article from Radio-Canada.ca https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelles/science/2016/04/04/001-cremes-solaires-produits-chimiques-fertilite.shtml

After-sun

After-sun , a body serum with rosehip at the top of the list, to help the skin regenerate while giving it back the carotenes degraded by the sun, in order to properly repair what could have been damaged (our collection of face serums, which are also the best after-sun products that can exist, for the same reasons, virgin rosehip at the top of the list of all active ingredients). Sunburn anecdote about the serum: in Barcelona, lunchtime and the seaside lead to sunburn. I put on the serum three times a day to save my skin and find it healthy again the following days!

In virgin rosehip, transretinoic acid or tretinoin is much more interesting topically than retinol. According to early research, it activates repair much more than retinol ever will.

In https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/chemistry/all-trans-retinoic-acid we can read in the 1st paragraph that it is 10 to 100 times more powerful depending on the body system.

Taken from the following publication https://pepite-depot.univ-lille2.fr/nuxeo/site/esupversions/c265c490-6c04-4c00-8aff-8d59f122c57d here is why our pure aloe gel is also becoming a must-have morning and evening before and after sun

Aloe vera:

Its main assets are:

– a high richness in water, polysaccharides, minerals and vitamins: moisturizing, emollient, insulating and protective actions; sugars are capable of retaining large quantities of water

– glycoproteins and lectins: healing and regenerating effect by stimulating the growth of fibroblasts, keratinocytes, collagen synthesis and ground substance, it is therefore also an anti-aging agent in addition to being a moisturizing agent;

– enzymes: anti-inflammatory and healing actions;

– saponins: antiseptics;

– aloesin: a substance which inhibits the activity of tyrosinase and reduces the pigmentation action of melanocytes.

Every day new studies show the existence of new compounds with remarkable properties.

It is also able to absorb some UVA radiation. (59)

Thanks to its moisturizing and regenerative qualities, it is an excellent anti-aging product which has the particularity of boosting the production of fibroblasts, it is also effective in preventing dark spots.
