Sylvain and I have been fans of infrared baths for 15 years now. We do them one to three times a week. It's a guaranteed energy boost and a boost for the skin every time. What initially attracted me to infrared was the "detox" aspect (for heavy metals, among other things) that I could experience in such a pleasant way! As if I were, for 40 minutes, relaxing on a tropical beach. What could be better? What a wonderful experience. To try.

What is an infrared sauna?

  • The infrared sauna allows sweating 3 to 6 times more than what we experience in a traditional sauna.
  • The skin can breathe much better thanks to this sweating.
  • It helps improve blood flow.
  • By eliminating toxins, it allows tense muscles to become more flexible.
  • Its effectiveness in restoring healthy skin in the case of dry skin, among others, is fantastic.
  • It promotes the elimination of heavy metals accumulated in our body.
  • During a weight loss process, it proves to be an excellent supplement.
  • Excellent for athletes and sportsmen to quickly eliminate lactic acid that has accumulated during exercise.
  • Current medical literature demonstrates that heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, and cadmium, along with other complex chemicals such as pesticides, phthalates, and BPA, are more effectively removed through sweating than through other detoxification methods. Furthermore, infrared heat is the body's most natural way to absorb the sun's heat.

Regarding the effect of infrared saunas on cancer cells…

Dr. Irvin Sahni, interviewed in the documentary series (The Truth About Cancer's The Quest for the Cures Continues), explains that normal healthy cells are essentially immune to infrared radiation, while cancer cells are subjected to a hyperthermic challenge. He explains that the hyperthermic effects of infrared radiation are only harmful to malignant cells. By exposing the body to this heat, less viable cells are selectively killed or eradicated, the cancer cells, without damaging normal cells. The far infrared sauna is therefore useful because it can help sweat, excrete toxins, and, in theory, eliminate cancer cells that cannot survive the heat.

A study published in the Journal of Cancer Science and Therapy showed that after just 30 days of infrared treatment, tumor-infected mice saw their cancer mass shrink by 86%, even with low-temperature infrared exposures of just 770 Fahrenheit (250 Celsius). 1

Another Japanese study also showed that infrared-induced whole-body hyperthermia helped to significantly inhibit the growth and spread of breast cancer cells in mice, without causing harmful side effects. 2

Thanks to this internal heating mechanism and the sweat it produces, infrared saunas offer a double benefit: powerful detoxification and cell maintenance and regeneration. 3
