I decided to be happy because it is good for my health - Voltaire
What if the person you've been waiting for all your life was you ? You simply had to go within to reconcile with the most neglected but oh so important part of your body: your heart. Take the time to listen to what it has to say. It's a much better judge than your mind and your ego !
Are you not convinced that this is the path to take and that it is the most beautiful gift you can give yourself? What if I told you that the reward for taking this path that leads to yourself is a happiness that you did not think possible? A happiness fueled by an inexhaustible fire which itself is nourished by a Love even more powerful than anything you have dreamed of and which will make you regret not having taken this road sooner !
Goodbye to the ephemeral , goodbye to the illusions of happiness and serenity , goodbye to the false sensations of accomplishment, well- being, calm and fulfillment . You will now be connected to your master or your inner guide who will never let you down. He has your happiness at heart! He wants you to succeed .
Light the fire. That light within you is indeed there . It's been waiting for you, often for too long because you haven't been taught how . It's a light so gentle and loving that it lodges in your heart. Your heart whispers to your conscience before it screams. Learn to listen to it. Why not be healthy AND happy? Take or reclaim your health and happiness, here and now! The best doctor in the world is you! You have everything inside you, all the equipment you need to feel what is good for you and what is not. Your body has its own healing mechanisms . Your doctor 's job is to activate or reactivate the body's healing mechanisms when they alone are not enough.
How many times have I told my patients that their heart is a muscle whose job is to pump blood about 100,000 times a day to all the organs in your body. Yet, when we refer to the emotional body, we always refer to our heart as the one where emotions and feeling emanate. Did you know that patients with symptoms or a diagnosis of post-infarction depression die more often? This has been demonstrated since the 1990s by Dr. L' Espérance , a psychiatrist at the Montreal Heart Institute.
Furthermore, we know that heart rate reflects emotional states . You probably know that your heart races when you 're afraid or angry! Don't believe me? BOO! Did your heart race ? Okay, too bad!
Studies have shown that negative or stressful emotions produce a more disorganized heartbeat pattern , while so-called positive emotions lead to a more coherent pattern . The latter helps inhibit the stress response by activating the parasympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system . In short, the one that gives a break to your sympathetic system , which is responsible for the "fight or flight" or "run for your life" response to various relatively stressful situations in life. How can we now positively influence our heart rate and activate our parasympathetic system ? It's simple, by breathing! No, you didn't read that correctly... by RESSSSSPIIIIIIRRRRATING. The speed of our breathing is directly linked to our heartbeat. In France, cardiac coherence was popularized by Dr. David Servan-Schreiber, notably thanks to his book " Gué rir".
The technique is simple, just take full breaths, a deep inhalation of about 5 seconds and a full exhalation of about 5 seconds. You can do 5-minute periods 3 times a day for this to be effective. I suggest you do this before each meal and at the same time eat mindfully!
Here are some benefits of this relaxation technique:
- Immediate feeling of well - being and calm (this way to zen!)
- Increased efficiency of the immune system (so less colds!)
- Increased or improved attention and concentration (focus, focus!)
- Decreased pain (aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!)
- Decreased emotional reactivity ( good for saving your relationships if you are close to strangling each other!!!)
- Reduced sleep disturbances (who said that sleeping well was only for babies ?!)
- Better stress and anxiety management (Yo!)
- Helps with weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight (we love that !)
- Significant increase in DHEA levels (youth hormone baby!), which can help slow down aging
- Lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients (don't worry , it won't get too low!!)
In summary , the heart has the power to improve our intelligence and intuition, while reducing stress, anxiety , anger and blood pressure. It is the balancing influence of the heart on the brain and the autonomic nervous system that partly explains why your heart will feel better once this practice is integrated into your daily life! The heart has its reasons that reason still ignores! Take advantage of these moments to welcome the sensations of the body and emotions without judgment, without restraint and without fear.
