Why supplements if I eat well? And which ones?

Pourquoi des suppléments si je mange bien? Et lesquels?

“Why do you need to take supplements if you eat so well?”

The question is so legitimate and makes me understand that some people have not followed my 45 shows, read the latest books or 4 guides with scientific references and listened to the dozens of live broadcasts with the various health specialists and scientists!

As a vegetarian, I have been eating organic mixed vegetable salad with sprouts and herbs for 17 years.

I started asking the healthcare workers involved in my projects 7 years ago: what are you taking, why, what is essential?

And I understood by force of circumstances that despite my greens that I have been eating for even longer than the salad and this one, I was lacking collagen (osteoarthritis was beginning), I was lacking protein (no muscle mass despite my training), I was seriously lacking minerals (brittle nails, I was embarrassed by it).

Even though I eat organic, our soils are depleted of minerals, a marked difference can be noted for some compared to the 70s for example.

Also, like it or not, with age, our metabolism slows down, has less capacity to synthesize vitamin D to take just this example, even if we expose ourselves to the sun at the right times in summer without protection (criteria for having it), and this is essential! Like Omega (which we find where in our diet in the right EPA DHA ratios? ... and even then, do we metabolize it correctly? Enough?

When my pharmacist noticed a slowdown in my liver, still far from metabolic syndrome but heading towards it, I turned to my liver support (Metabzen) to experience in 6 months the reversal I was aiming for, accompanied by the lifestyle habit that could also make the difference (stopping evening snacking).

In pre- or peri-menopause or in menopause, one can also, despite the excellent diet (which will certainly make the difference) lack energy, which I felt, no longer having the drive for training, for example. My B Complex made the difference.

Let's talk about concentration, about the sequence of ideas which can also dissipate: if I don't take Focus, I note it down directly the next day!

Among minerals, Magnesium was my great revelation, helping me relax so well in the evening.

And this quality of components also makes a difference in my calm in life in general.

I also appreciate my nutricosmetics to boost the tone of my skin, its appearance, the quality of my hair... Silica, Tea Extract, Hair Cocktail, Selenium, wow!
And lycopene helps me benefit from the sun, and astaxanthin, I wanted it as a source of antioxidants but also to preserve my eyesight. Would we get this amount in a plate of shrimp? Perhaps, also redundant in the long run.

Regarding the question of "powders" that was addressed to me, let us remember that we are not dealing with synthetic products but with dehydrated living products (rehydrated with water), algae, shoot juice, etc.
Also medicinal plants or fabulous natural pigments.
I give thanks every time I take them.

Vitamins and minerals are also part of our diet, supplied in concentrated form to ensure we have the required amounts to meet our needs, without digestive strain.

I am always surprised that people ask questions about recognized natural health products, whose therapeutic claims and dosages are supported by science... while we do not question medications... or junk food, and everything else that is offered to us today...

These concentrates, these tools also do much more, I appreciate them for the detox of heavy metals, for my heart, for the slowing down of aging (supported by science).
And I take anything that has antioxidants. These centenarians, AND WELL!, with a quality of life, have a network of loved ones, a reason to live, move naturally and in their diet there are foods rich in antioxidants.

Diet is the foundation and supplements also work best with a good lifestyle (exchanges given by health specialists and scientists).
Supplements are tools to keep us functioning at our full potential.
I live it every day. And I've never been so strong, so well.

Hope that answers the question!

To address the myths about kidney overload, overdose, and the uselessness of taking vitamins...

Excess carbohydrates overload the kidneys, leading to kidney failure. Period. Neither salt, nor magnesium, nor protein create an overload.

Why do we perpetuate these myths about the dangers of supplements, tools we can control? Unlike medications and injections, which are said to be safe. We also don't question the accumulating side effects of medications, but we do question supplements (which usually have no side effects, or if they do, they are so minor that they don't matter).

This is something that is often said in professional health discourse: anything people can take themselves either doesn't work or is dangerous.

Vitamin D is said to be dangerous... To overdose, you need to take 60,000 units per day. We're not there at all when we consume 3,000 or 4,000 units per day.
