Eczema can be a symptom of FOOD ALLERGY or INTOLERANCES
Digestive intolerance
Allergy is a hypersensitivity reaction involving an immunological mechanism while digestive intolerance is a non-immunological hypersensitivity reaction.
Lactose intolerance occurs when the digestive system does not produce (or no longer produces) the enzyme needed to digest lactose, the sugar found only in milk. Because breast milk is the only food source for infants, they produce an enzyme called lactase, which splits lactose in two and produces two simple sugars, glucose and galactose, which are then absorbed. After weaning, the digestive system may forget how to produce lactase.
If the digestive system doesn't produce lactase, lactose isn't broken down. It's therefore not absorbed and remains in the intestines where the bacteria in the intestinal flora have a field day. Fermentation ensues, causing bloating, gas, pain, cramps, and more.
Lactose intolerance is not an allergy. It is very common among certain ethnic groups: among many Black and Asian people, this intolerance is present in the majority of the population. Among Caucasians, it is on the rise.

Probiotics and allergies in children
Dr. Nancy Elazab and her team followed the same approach ( to read the full text, click here ) as previous researchers to study the prevention of atopy (allergy, eczema ) and asthma in children. Once the studies were compiled, they realized that taking probiotics in infants decreased total IgE (average reduction of 7.59 U/mL)
