To present it to you in a few points: there are no grades, no exams, no homework, and yet, the children arrive in the same place at the end of their sixth year. The teachers, dedicated and invested, create their materials and, while following the subject matter governed by the school board, they opt for different approaches. I am also always surprised to see them take time. The parents are present and participate in the teaching. The difference cannot be pointed out, but it is experienced. The multi-age approach inspires (classes of 1 & 2 or, for example, 3-4-5-6 together). The children appreciate the choices: they fill their agendas independently and opt for subjects and projects that appeal to them. The talents of each are highlighted.
After 8 years, I never cease to be amazed every period of every week by the colorful and touching paintings with sparkling eyes that pass by. This is the burst of enthusiasm that I wanted to protect and which pushed me to found a place conducive to the development of my child and then of the children. A portrait that seems dreamlike? Yes. Yet.
So, let prejudices fall so that happy childhoods can blossom. I will introduce you to our school and ask the staff your questions. The film "Growing Up Happy"* already enlightens and gives hope. And starting this Tuesday, I will be filming there for our show. Wonderful. I look forward to amaze you in turn and draw you towards a childhood without pressure, without comparison, without depression, without performance. Yes to surpassing oneself in love and self-discovery that allows a harvest of tools that build life.
