Interrelation of organs with the emotional plane

The East places great value on lifestyle and the emotions experienced. It is a primordial relationship that generates physical reactions. Indeed, the energetic state of the organs is a reflection of what is happening internally. From an Eastern perspective, each organ has its own emotional relationship. By stimulating these organs and relaxing the muscular areas, it is easier to reduce emotional stress and deep emotional tensions. This is why, according to Eastern thought, health is not so much the absence of disease as the balance between body and mind!

The activity of each organ releases energy that can generate different emotions or states of mind (these emotions can be in excess or in lack, poorly managed or repressed). According to the Eastern energy approach, the basic emotions are:

  • joy (heart),
  • anger (liver),
  • worries (stomach),
  • sadness (lung) and
  • fear (kidney).

If these emotions persist, they will affect the organs to which the emotion corresponds.

Conversely, poor organ health creates an energy imbalance that affects the emotional world. Thus, excessive emotions (or conversely, a lack of them, such as a lack of joy and positive emotions) can originate from a disruption in the body's various systems. As a result of deficient physiological exchanges, other health problems can result, such as poor elimination of toxins, constipation, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, and headaches, etc. By activating the functions of the organs, we promote the fluidity of various exchanges, such as the elimination of metabolic waste, inner harmony, and a return to health. It is a self-regulating system, just like the physiological systems of homeostasis, that is, the balance between the body's functions.

Abdominal massage is a particularly interesting component of Lomi-atsu. "By massaging the stomach, liver, gallbladder, and intestines, Lomi-atsu massage stimulates their function, allowing energy to circulate properly throughout the body, and has a beneficial effect on emotional health, and therefore the overall quality of life."
