Ingredients

• Medical Ingredients (per unit dose) : Each capsule contains frangula purshiana (Cascara sagrada) bark 400 mg.
• Non-medicinal Ingredients : Pyrus malus fiber (apple), Elm bark powder, Ginger root, Hypromellose (vegicap) and Microcrystalline cellulose.

Posology & Instructions for use

• Oral Adolescents 12 - 17 years old : 1 capsule every 2 days. Allow 6 to 12 hours in order to be able to notice the laxative effects. The optimal dosage is adjusted to the smallest dose to obtain the passage of a soft stools. Take two to three times a week. If the desired effect is not achieved, take up to one dose a day. Take a few hours before or after taking medications or natural health products. Take a single dose at bedtime.

• Cautions and warnings : Consult a health professional before using if you are taking heart medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic agents, thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root, any other drug or health product that may aggravate the imbalance of electrolyte levels. Consult a health professional before using if you have kidney problems, faecal impaction, or symptoms such as abdominal pain. nausea, vomiting or fever. Reduce the dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and / or diarrhea.
• Known adverse reactions : Discontinue use if hypersensitivity / allergy develops.
• Duration of use : Consult a health professional if use extends beyond 7 days. 
• Contraindications : Do not use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use this product if you suffer from abnormal gastrointestinal tract constrictions, existing or potential intestinal obstruction, sluggish gut, appendicitis, inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s disease. or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with loss of water and electrolytes, or diarrhea.
