Responses from the formulator/scientific researcher/pharmacologist:
France: I would like to know if there is a contraindication if I take the cholesterol medication APO-avastatin 20mg with the health support product?
Response: Taking statins such as APO-avastatin concomitantly with Soutien Santé should not pose a problem. As is often recommended, however, it is preferable to take the medication (APO-avastatin) 2-4 hours apart from the natural health product (Soutien Santé), or vice versa.
Carole: I have had secondary progressive multiple sclerosis for over 20 years, I am 61 years old, and as mentioned above, I do not take any medication. I find the list of ingredients very interesting, but I wonder if ginkgo biloba and mushrooms can stimulate my immune system? (which should be avoided, like taking echinacea, for example).
Response: According to the scientific literature, none of the components of Soutien Santé that support the immune system (Reishi, Vitamin A, Zinc, Nigella) have negative effects on autoimmune diseases. On the contrary, clinical studies suggest that these components can help attenuate exaggerated immune responses and thus improve autoimmune disease conditions. Ginkgo biloba also has no adverse effects in the context of autoimmune diseases. In fact, along with turmeric and nigella, ginkgo is one of the medicinal plants that have demonstrated beneficial effects in the context of multiple sclerosis.
