Hydrogen and Metabolic Syndrome
The metabolic syndrome is another area in which research on the benefits of hydrogenated water is multiplying. In a pilot study conducted in 2010 with individuals at risk of developing metabolic syndrome, the group drinking hydrogen water showed a 39% increase in the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD), an 8% increase in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and a 13% decrease in total cholesterol. 1
