My sun protection - Shea & Zinc Oxide

Here is what I do for my sun protection, note that I will also use it in the months following its preparation.

For this homemade mixture, it is important to ensure that the mixture is uniform, that the zinc oxide is well incorporated into all the shea; obviously, we cannot guarantee the results since we cannot prepare the mixture for you.

Shea butter has a slight sun protection factor. When you add zinc oxide, it reaches an SPF of about 20. I tested it many times on hot sunny days and was delighted to find it effective. In addition, n addition, our shea, which softens the skin, is enhanced with sea buckthorn pulp, jojoba, essential oils (without furocoumarines) that help the skin absorb sunlight and a hint of vegetable glycerin that gives it a sublime texture.

Includes: Shea butter and a bag of zinc oxide.

Directions: Heat the Shea butter in a water bath (1 minute or until melted), remove from heat and add the entire bag of zinc oxide. Place in freezer for 1 hour or until it hardens again.

Without forgetting that with a second sachet of zinc oxide, we reproduce a benevolent cream for baby's red bottom!

Ingredients: Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) butter, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) oil, Vanilla planifolia (Vanilla) oleoresin, Hippophae rhamnoides (Sea buckthorn CO2) extract, Citrus sinensis (Sweet orange) oil, Citrus aurantium (Petit grain) oil, Citrus aurantium amara (Neroli) oil, Vegetable glycerin.

Warning: Do not use on damaged skin.

A possible "granular" texture is linked to the natural presence of unsaponifiable matter found in butters. Butters, like shea, are fragile to temperature variations, which can cause this phenomenon without altering the quality of the product. Simply warm the product in your hands before applying.
