Origin: France

Frankincense essential oil (sometimes called olibanum) is a gum-resin produced from trees. Frankincense's benefits include the ability to strengthen the skin and improve its tone, elasticity, defense mechanisms against bacteria or blemishes and appearance as one ages. In addition, it is said to be an effective topical agent for softening facial wrinkles and relaxing the skin.  It can help tone and lift the skin, reduce the appearance of scars and acne and heal wounds. It can also be beneficial for fading stretch marks, surgical scars or marks associated with pregnancy, and for healing dry or cracked skin. 1 According to a study published in the Journal of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, frankincense oil reduces skin redness and irritation, while producing a more even skin tone. 2

Eight to ten kg of oil are obtained from no less than 100 kg of plants. This aromatic and precious oil is rich in benefits for the skin and it is no wonder that it is so coveted by perfumers.3 Frankincense, a true elegant and precious aromatic jewel!
