Origin: Bulgaria

Rosa damascena, the queen of flowers! Symbol of love and beauty. Indispensable in the perfume and cosmetics industry. Very precious, since it takes about 4 tons of petals (1 hectare) to obtain 1 kg of rose essential oil.1 Its floral, fruity, rosy and tangy fragrance is totally seductive, and not to mention that its properties are as exceptional as its smell!

In a study of ten essential oils regarding their activities against Propionibacterium acnes and PC-3, A-549 and MCF-7 cancer cells, here is what was reported about rose essential oil, among others: Thyme, cinnamon and rose essential oils showed the best antibacterial activities against P. acnes, with inhibition diameters of 40 +/- 1.2 mm, 33.5 +/- 1.5 mm and 16.5 +/- 0.7 mm, and minimum inhibitory concentrations of 0.016% ( v/v), 0. 016% (v/v) and 0.031% (v/v), respectively. Dynamic time destruction procedures showed that thyme, cinnamon, rose and lavender essential oils exhibited the strongest bactericidal activities at a concentration of 0.25% (v/v), and P. acnes was completely killed after 5 min. 2

Really, just one drop is enough to let us be carried majestically and pleasantly by this precious queen!
