Important dans Croissance, Immunité, Neurotransmission, Vision, Reproduction, Métabolisme

Symptômes de carence

Vraie carence = rare

Attention végé : présence de voleurs de minéraux (phytate et oxalate) réduit l’absorption des minéraux. L’apport devrait augmenter de 50 %.

Cofacteurs : Cu, Fe, Ca, Folate, Vit A (vision)

Où le trouve-t-on?

Viandes, œufs, produits de la mer (huitre 25 mg/30 g)

Attention sources végétales : Grains et légumineuses … mal absorbées

Indications des suppléments de zinc

Immunité, Acné

Dosage? : 8 mg femme, 11 mg hommes

Suppléments : max 30 mg par jour (15 à 30 mg = OK) UL : 40mg/jr chronique, Aigu (IVRS) : 75 mg par jour,

Médicaments chélateurs (tétracycline, bisphosphonates, Rx à prendre à jeun)

Antiviral : Atazanavir, rotinavir

Antibiotique : Céphalexine, quinolone (Cipro), tétracyclines
