Vegan Sausage (gluten-free, lactose-free)

Vegan Sausage (gluten-free, lactose-free)

• 2 cups boiling water

• 2 tbsp maple syrup

• 2 tbsp parsley

• 2 tbsp garlic powder

• 2 tbsp herb de provence

• 1 1/2 tbsp oregano

• 1 1/2 tbsp paprika

• 1 1/2 tbsp ground black pepper

• 1 1/2 tbsp salt

• 1/4 tsp cayenne

• 1 cup organic corn flour

• 1 cup of hemp seeds

• 1 can (1 1/2 cup) of cooked red beans

1) In a bowl, mix together:

• 2 cups boiling water

• 2 tbsp maple syrup

• 2 tbsp parsley

• 2 tbsp garlic powder

• 2 tbsp herb de provence

• 1 1/2 tbsp oregano

• 1 1/2 tbsp paprika

• 1 1/2 tbsp ground black pepper

• 1 1/2 tbsp salt

• 1/4 tsp cayenne

Set aside 5 minutes in order for the the liquid soak all of the flavors.

2) In another bowl, mix:

• 1 cup of the spicy liquid above

• 1 cup organic corn flour

Set aside 5 minutes. Then, add 1 cup of hemp seeds.

3) For this next step, you will need the can of cooked red beans. Heat the pan over medium heat, drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil and add:

• 1/2 cup of cooked kidney beans (rinsed, drained)

• 1/3 cup of the spicy liquid

Mash the beans and cook 5 minutes until the liquid is evaporated. Repeat step 3 three times.

Mix together mixtures #2 and #3. Add flour if the dough is too soft.

Refrigerate overnight. In the morning, form sausage into desired shape. Roast in a pan 3 minutes on each side and drain on paper towels.

Serve to your guests and loved ones!
