DELICIOUS VEGAN BALLS (gluten-free, lactose-free)

DELICIOUS VEGAN BALLS (gluten-free, lactose-free)

Broth:

  • 3 cups water
  • 4 tbsp gluten-free tamari sauce (or Noma Shoyu)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tbsp Italian seasoning (I did not have any so I used turmeric and curry powder)
  • 3 tbsp vegan broth (non vegan can use Artisan chicken broth)

Balls:

  • 3 cups quick oats (I did 50/50 with quinoa flakes)
  • 3 tbsp Redstar nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 cup to 1 cup chopped nuts (Daniele used walnuts)

Prepare the broth. Simmer for 8-10 minutes then add the quick oats, nutritional yeast and chopped nuts (optional). Mix all the ingredients together. Remove from heat. Let cool. Make meat(less)balls (large or small). To make your loved ones happy, roast balls into a skillet. Serve in a burger bun, in a stew, as falafels with tahini sauce or simply with a gourmet salad! I loves these vegan balls! Thank you Daniele Starenkyj for this wonderful recipe. On a beautiful Saturday, Daniele and her husband invited me and my family to a delicious homemade vegeterian meal, made with ingredients from her garden. We were treated like kings (and queen). My sons, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the burgers (the main attraction).
